Permian BBQ Cook-Off: We recently circulated the Permian BBQ registration link to DEP clients, cooking teams and event sponsors as well as a few special guests. If you did not receive your registration link, please let us know (cooking teams had the link sent to your designated cooking point of contact – check with them first, ditto sponsors). If you did receive it, please fill it out. Reminder, the event will be held on September 30th at the Rolling 7’s Ranch. Only registered guests will be admitted. If you have any questions on the registration process, please reach out to Bill Austin who is cc’d on this week’s note.
DEP Update: Extremely brief note this week as, unfortunately, we are one of the many break-through COVID cases (J&J vaccinated) and we don’t feel much like writing today. Harken back to your college days and imagine drinking two 40’s of Crazy Horse and failing to drink a bottle of water before going to bed. That’s about how we feel right now. Have no fear, however, as a meatier note will be forthcoming next Sunday night, God-willing, as we opine on (i) the Basic Energy Services bankruptcy and looming break-up; (ii) the Liberty/MTU gas genset announcement and (iii) FTSI’s vibration-sensing technology and fleet manufacturing operations. Also, for those who had planned to join us at our Pittsburgh reception this Tuesday, that event is now off as we are presently stranded at a hotel in North Carolina and can’t/shouldn’t get there. We’ll reschedule for a later date.
BKR Rig Count: +1 rig gain w/w to 485 rigs. We will update/publish our new U.S. land rig count forecast in two weeks.
